Rio Blanco Outfitters wants our clients to have the most enjoyable worry free hunting experience they have ever had. Below are some policies and procedures to ensure that your hunting adventure is a successful one. Contact Us

Booking Your Hunt

• All hunts are booked on a first-come, first-serve basis.

• A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at booking and the balance is due upon arrival for the hunt. Balances that are being paid upon arrival must be paid with cash, cashier’s check, or travelers checks. NO EXCEPTIONS!

• Deposits are non-refundable, unless hunter can be replaced at full price. Rio Blanco Outfitters is not obligated to replace a hunter if cancellation takes place.

Getting Ready For Your Hunt

• Being mentally and physically prepared for your hunt will help ensure that everyone, including Rio Blanco Outfitters staff, will have an enjoyable and successful hunt.

• Prior to the hunt, Rio Blanco Outfitters will call the hunter and answer questions regarding what to bring, weather conditions, travel arrangements, hunting license, etc.  

• Practice shooting and don't just site in your gun. We cannot emphasize the importance of practicing at the shooting range. After all, Practice Make Perfect!

Travel

• For hunters who are flying, Rio Blanco Outfitters does include airport shuttle on some hunts only if hunters are arriving and departing at certain times. If hunter fails to schedule their flight within those time periods, a rental car will most likely be needed.

• For hunters who are driving, they should schedule their arrival for no sooner than 1:00 p.m. the day before hunts begin.

Camp & Hunt Policies

• On all of our hunt packages, we do enforce a wounded animal policy. If you draw blood, you bought it.

• Everyone's safety and well being is our #1 priority and drinking of alcoholic beverages is not allowed while hunting. Rio Blanco Outfitters reserves the right not to allow any hunter or guest to hunt if he/she is not of safe mind and being.

Included in Hunts

• Most Rio Blanco Outfitters hunts are full service hunts and include:  lodging, guides, skinning, caping, and quartering of game and airport shuttle (see Travel section). Most hunts include bedding, linens, and towels. Meals are available for an additional cost on some hunts.

Exclusions for Hunts

• Rio Blanco Outfitters does not provide alcoholic beverages, regular hunting equipment needed by hunters, guns, or personal effects. We can arrange to provide guns and ammo with advance notice.

• Hunters must pay for hunting licenses, taxidermy work and alcoholic beverages.

Shipping Trophies

• If Rio Blanco Outfitters has to ship cape and antlers to a hunter, the hunter will be charged for shipping charges, as well as a service charge for crating/handling.

Gratuities

• Gratuities for guides are customary. Normal amounts vary but generally 10% of total hunt cost per hunter is suggested.
